U Street businesses including Caramel, RCKNDY, Junction, GoodWood, Moojoo Ken, Nana, Simply Home, and Wild Women Wear Red are pleased to announce a special event on December 6th that will benefit Sitar Arts Center (www.sitarartscenter.org), an organization offering classes in music, dance, visual art, creative writing, and drama to disadvantaged youth.
Ten percent of all sales from the evening will be donated to Sitar Arts Center, and each store will offer special holiday sales during the event. Each venue will showcase the artistic talents of students who attend classes at the Center. Enjoy the unique experience of shopping some of DC's finest local retailers while supporting and learning more about Sitar Arts Center. The participating retailers feature men's and women's clothing, women's shoes, vintage and contemporary home furnishings, and ethnic imports from Thailand. The participating stores are part of the growing MidCity neighborhood (www.midcitylive.com).
There is no charge to attend the event and complimentary wine will be served at each venue. Donations to Sitar Arts Center are welcomed at the event.
